The Flexible Fund seeks to enable Newham-based voluntary and community organisations to support the Primary Care Trust (PCT) in achieving its strategic objectives and improve links by :

• building closer relationships between voluntary organisations and NHS commissioners
• complementing PCT commissioning decisions
• funding projects that add to efforts by the PCT to tackle health inequalities and improve access and quality.

Funding is not intended as a substitute for mainstream commissioning of voluntary sector service providers to meet identified needs. It is primarily for proposals that require one-off, time-limited funding to address locally identified needs in relation to better health and wellbeing.

THE FLEXIBLE FUND IS CURRENTLY SUSPENDED AS ALL AVAILABLE FUNDING HAS BEEN ALLOCATED

Further funds may become available in early 2010 but at present, we are not accepting any new applications.
