| We have three strategic programmes which focus our activities: Community Development, Healthy Living and Lifelong Learning. Community Development offers research, information, training and a library of resources on the voluntary sector. Healthy Living offers opportunities for healthy eating, exercise and sport. Lifelong Learning offers provision for all ages through pre-school, after school and holiday activities, youth work and adult education. Page down for further information. | Community Development

| Community Development is a range of practices and services dedicated to increasing the strength and effectiveness of community life, improving local conditions, and enabling people to participate in public decision-making to achieve greater long-tem control over their circumstances. The Community Involvement Unit provides a well-stocked library of voluntary, community and charity sector publications, databases and resources; research services and advice on organisational development; and a range of training courses in community venues across East London. |

| Healthy Living

| Our Healthy Living Programme provides access to good food and exercise. You can purchase good food at our community cafes at Durning Hall and the Froud Centre. Poor diet contributes to poor health. Health inequalities in East London are a serious concern. Through good food, balanced diets, and care in cooking, health can improve dramatically. One of our current projects is a "Meals on Wheels for kids" service to after school clubs, which was launched by Stephen Timms in October 2005. | Lifelong Learning

Our Lifelong Learning Programme aims to develop personal and vocational skills through informal and accredited educational provision for all ages.
Our After School Club at the Froud Centre, The Little Manor Play Project, which was recently rated as OUTSTANDING in every category during an Ofsted review in 2008.
