We are looking for volunteers to join our Youth Team.

The role involves supporting and helping young people develop through informal education and learning through an array of positive activities, one to one and group work sessions.

The volunteer should be able to relate to and recognise the multiple issues that young people face on a daily basis and remain sensitive to this while initiating and maintaining positive relationships with the young people. A willingness to learn how to create projects with the young people will be important as well as the volunteer’s input into team meetings.

Ideally the volunteer will be able to commit to the project long term, for at least one regular evening a week.

We have a variety of Youth programmes, please see here for more information.

The volunteers will be supervised by the youth worker/key worker and attend monthly supervision sessions and all team meetings and planning. They’d also have access to youth work training sessions, as and when arrange by the youth manager.

The volunteer will learn aspects of planning and implementing programmes and projects while develop group work skills, and Aston-Mansfield will gain the skills and commitment of volunteers to join the team, helping to develop and drive the project.

If you’re interested in this role and would like to apply, please fill in the application form here.
