By Amanda Whiteford (Chair of Trustees)

At the end of July, Dolyanna Mordohai, who has been our interim CEO since January, will be leaving us as our new CEO, Diane Betts, joins us on 14th July.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Dolyanna. Coming in as an interim can be a daunting task. Staff know you are not joining the organisation permanently, the trustees want you to ‘keep things steady’ whilst they recruit someone, and you need to keep services running effectively whilst getting to know how the organisation works and dealing with all and any issues that arise.

Trustee, Alex, presents Dolyanna flowers to thank her for her time at Aston-Mansfield

Dolyanna rose superbly to this challenge; immersing herself in all our services, supporting staff to achieve their goals, dealing with a wide range of property issues (not often within the remit of a charity CEO), helping me to recruit a new CEO, getting to know the Trustees and support Board meetings. As the new Chair of Aston-Mansfield, we both joined in January, we were ‘newbies’ together and Dolyanna provided me with a great deal of support and information making my own induction easier and smoother.

Her enthusiasm for Aston-Mansfield is clear for all to see, her commitment to our services for young people is energising and her insights very valuable.  I feel we have gained much from the time Dolyanna has spent with us and offer her my heartfelt thanks and hope you will all join me in wishing her a very happy and successful future career.
