Aston-Mansfield are excited to start 2025 by welcoming in new leadership including for the first time two young trustees.

The young trustees join us as part of our commitment to ensuring that the views of young people are represented in our decision-making processes.

Aston-Mansfield are excited to welcome Young Trustees Aadil Ravat and Louis Baxter.

We are also excited to welcome Amanda Whiteford as our Chair of Trustees and Dolyanna Mordochai as our new interim-CEO (find out more about them here).

Young Trustees

Our Annual Youth Survey and Networking Event attended by Young Trustee, Louis Baxter

The adoption of a young trustee model follows a consultation with staff, trustees and local young people and represents Aston-Mansfield’s belief that the voices of young people are essential in shaping our future.

Supporting young people to lead happy healthy lives, realise their potential and unlock their ambition has always been at the heart of Aston-Mansfield’s work since our beginning over 140 years ago.

Recently, that has been expressed through our Young Facilitator model (a paid position for young people to create and facilitate activities for other young people) and through our achievement of the London Youth Bronze Quality Mark award for 2022 to 2025.

We recognise that representing peer voices can at times be intimidating, we have consulted with our young people and staff to develop a Young Trustee Model to support Young Trustees every step of the way. Young Trustees will benefit from a buddy system, where each Young Trustee will be paired with an experienced Trustee to support them with board papers and board meeting content in addition to regular check-ins, social activities and support from our dedicated Youth Team.

We are excited to have Aadil and Louis joining the team and look forward to working with them.
