On Wednesday 22nd July 2026, community organisations and support services from across Newham came together for the Newham Community Health Fair.

Hosted by Newham CouncilOne Newham and Aston-Mansfield, and held at Stratford Town Hall, the Newham Community Health Fair was a full day of networking, stalls, talks, and workshops.

Around 30 organisations had stalls to share about their great work, including charities and non-profits, NHS services, Newham Council services and more.

Stalls included:

The event was opened by One Newham’s Network Coordinator, Joy-Caron Canter, and Aston-Mansfield’s Healthy Communities Project Lead, Kemar Walford. This was followed by a short introduction from Claire Greszczuk (Interim Director of Public Health).

During the day, attendees had a chance to share their ideas and discuss important topics at the Round Table Discussions. Topics included:

  • Round Table Discussions
  • Library Strategy Engagement
  • Newham Health & Wellbeing Strategy
  • Community Research in Newham (Compost London)
  • VCFSE Engagement Framework & Grants Policy

During this time, Aston-Mansfield’s Fitter Finances team also offered one-to-one support sessions for non-profit organisations.

Lunch gave ample opportunities for networking over delicious food provided by TiffinWali CIC. In the afternoon, we had a brief talk from Cllr Susan Masters – Cabinet Lead for Health, Adult Social Care and Environment, before more Round Table discussions.

One of the highlights of the day was the Community Showcase, an opportunity for organisations to present all the brilliant work they have been up to and how others can get involved.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone who came along.

At the event, we also shared about the our Fitter Finances: Investing in Health Programme which aims to enhance the financial stability and sustainability of grassroots organisations dedicated to promoting health and well-being.
