About the opportunity

The role of After-School Club Kitchen Assistant Volunteer involves supporting the team to prepare simple afternoon meals for the children at 'Little Manor'. Little Manor Play Project is our core out-of-school programme, where children attending our breakfast, after school and holiday sessions participate in a wide range of fun and stimulating activities. These activities provide opportunities for social, physical & creative development and improve well-being. The programme offers parents affordable wrap around care for their children so that parents can enter or return to the work place or engage in studying or training. Our staff also signpost families to appropriate services for additional support. 200 children and their parents/carers participate in the programme each year.

What we are looking for?

We are looking for volunteers who are available between 2.30-4.30 PM on weekdays. A basic knowledge of cooking is required for the role although volunteers will be trained in the kitchen and shown how to prepare the basic meals we provide for the children. Volunteers should enjoy working around children and well within a team.
